Blogmas - 09.12.14

Good morning all! And I'm back again for Blogmas day 9! Today has been quite a busy day, so thought I'd share with you what I've been getting up to.

This morning, Mr Bee left for his American work trip.  He actually only got back from America the other week and now he's gone again. The car picked him up at 7am and he was as quiet as a mouse so as not to disturb me or Baba.  Yeah right!  Whenever he has to get up early its like an elephant is in the bedroom.  The boy cannot be quiet! Anyway, we will miss him lots and the house is very strange without him here.

Me and Baba had breakfast and then got ready and went to town. I had a tiny bit of Christmas shopping to do and I managed to pick up the few bits I needed.  The remaining bits I am going to get online.  I have a very small window of time of when I can shop with Baba and I find that the best time to go is first thing in the morning.  This normally gives me two hours and then she wants to run riot.  She did really well today and it wasn't until the last shop she scared one of the assistants with a large shriek.

None of these of for me :-( (sob).

I also have the most painful dry hands at the moment. I don't know if its the cold, or if its because me and Baba have been going swimming twice a week over the last few weeks.  Whatever the reason, they resemble that of an old witches.  I had to pop to Boots anyway, and I picked up this Lanolips hand cream.  I've not tried the brand before, but I have used Lanolin when I was breastfeeding and it was a miracle worker. I will let you know how I get on with it.

After our shopping trip, we came home, had lunch and then left to go to playgroup. Baba had a good run around, charged someone one million pounds for a can of peas and then did some painting. All in all a good play session!!! We then came home and went for a walk with Pablo T Dog.  It is so bitterly cold here but Baba was so snug in her pushchair she fell asleep.  She is at this stage at the moment where she says she doesn't want her usual morning nap, but then come the afternoon she is quite tired.  I've left her in the pram and wheeled her into the garage so she can have a bit of a longer snooze and I can have a cup of tea.  (Please note she is wrapped up warm and is quite cosy in there...and I can see her too!).

Napping in the garage!

I must also admit to what I've been eating today.  If you read my previous Blogmas post on advent calendars (you can catch up here), I have been putting treats into a box for Mr.Bee.  I found this cookies and cream spread in Tesco for his box and it is delicious!!! Whilst it is meant to be Mr Bee's, mysteriously the spread is getting lower and lower (no, nothing at all to do with me).  Before he left for America Mr Bee asked me if there would be any actual spread remaining on his return.  I gave him my most disgusted look and said of course there would be, and how dare he suggest I would eat it all. Hmmmm. Maybe I need to go and buy some more!!!

So that's my day.  I will wake Baba up in a minute and go and wrap some more presents.  I have to wrap a bit at a time, as if I wrap for too long, the standard of wrapping deteriorates with every passing minute. It ain't pretty!!!

Hope you are all enjoying Blogmas so far and I will see you nice and early tomorrow for more festive fun on Blogmas day 10!

P.S. Basic error. I have just checked and I have already ran out of wrapping paper!!! Oh no!!!

  1. I really recommend The Sanctuary hand cream as well - smells delightful, and is good for dry hands!

  2. The cookies and cream spread looks amazing. Also, the napping child in the garage looks all too familiar...we often keep baby P bundled in the stroller in the entryway when we return from walks, just so that he can finish his nap!

    1. The spread is amazing...but be warned...it is slightly addictive :-0

  3. How you are keeping up with your Blogmas challenge I don't know as I battle to keep up with comments let alone writing posts!

My Hubby Dearest is like Nelly the elephant, when I'm trying to sleep too (he will obviously deny this!), where as I am like Tinker Bell (Hubby Dearest may beg to differ!).

Our dogs think they want to venture out when the weather is cold or wet; they get all excited and manic. Then as we trundle down the road they realize that they would rather be curled up in front of the fire and refuse to move!

    1. Thank you for stopping by and for your support on Google too Debbie x
